why even try and waiste your time on that? The chances of Anet doing that is slim to none.
They would hardly ever do it anyway, and they are working on GW2.

Amazing idea, and also one of the most original I've seen so far.
If they don't implement it in this game, maybe they will in add it in Guild Wars 2

I'm not a fan of any of those ideas, to be honest. Nor do I think any would fix PvP.

I really don't understand what is broken about PvP that needs fixing?
I suppose as long as these ideas you implement don't affect HB or GvG rank, or affect the ladder in any way, i'll /sign it
If they do affect GvG or HB rank, its a definite /notsigned
I don't understand why this was stickied, it's not as if it's a great idea or anything. Unless photoshopped pics of GW menus is an automatic sticky? Basically, it's nothing groundbreaking, and it really needs a different title, because PvP isn't broken, and this would fix nothing even if it "supposedly" is.

I absolutely hate PvP because of the large number of immature people you find there, but I like your suggestion. I would be able to pvp in something and not have to worry about being in a guild.
Thanks for the great suggestion, hope ANET adds you to the pay roll and stops nerfing PvE.

PvPers just don't like dealing with bad players, that's why you perceive us as "immature"

Brilliant idea IMO. Even if it were a no-gain at ALL i would like it (no-gain meaning no Faction, no rank, no XP, NOTHING).

That's the exact problem. Its hard to get into PvP because if you get into a party and don't have the FoTM build they boot you w/o ever even telling you why. I'd like to get into PvP a bit more but I don't know anything about the metagame and the pros are too lazy to help inexperienced players. There's a difference between being a bad player and an inexperienced player.

QFT, good players don't constantly run FOTM. If you're a decent player, and you know which skills in the game suck, you can pretty much succeed with almost any bar.

Very interesting idea.
I could have said more but i usually choose carfully my words.
So if i said its a very interesting idea, it is because it is a VERY INTERESTING idea (capslock might help you get the picture)
My own ideas that could help:
*Allow pve-only skills
*Increase npcs level
*Increase the number of npcs
*Add some HB, HA maps and Fort Aspenwood & Jade Quarry.
*Unlock all these features with money sink and/or balthazar faction and/or luxon/kurzick faction (guild players could add faction to their GuildHall and leader could unlock these features, money can be tranfered player-to-player)

You're attitude is far different from what I've encountered thus far. I've unlocked HA but I've had such horrible experiences in TA I can't help but think that it will only get worse in HA. Also, I'm a PvE player and I think I'm a good PvE player but that doesn't mean I'll be a good PvP player. I've been in TA and someone will come in and ask for help on builds. That person is usually called a noob and no one ever helps him/her. People spam "PvXWiki!!1!" in there. How do you learn to PvP with effective builds when most of the populace consists of apathetic morons?

Reasons:
-free guestage=alliance
-gvg on one map? maybe if you just scrimmage people and not do actual gvgs, and if you get bored you can go win halls, get a sigil, and buy a new hall.
-if you want different game types, go TA/AB/RA/Zashien Challenge or play WoW
-Custom rules is ok...but really impractical. If you are already with friends, just tell them they can only take core/prophecies/factions/nf skills/classes. We have PvP characters for a reason (auto lvl20). Party size....ur too lazy to click people and the "invite" button?
-The guild ladder is what sets GW apart from other games. Why get rid of it and turn into a sub-par WoW? If you don't like it, don't do rated GvGs.
-Arena maps in GvG would be too cramped...Archers from the other team would be in your lord room at the start of the match.
It's a good idea...if you wanna make GW WoW. There are plenty of PvP options to choose from, ranging from PvE towns to top play GvG ladder. The only addition that would really be entertaining, imo, would be a battle royal (think thats how its spelled ;p), where you just go into an arena with say...9 other people, all with the same skills, and the last one standing wins! That would be a nice way to relax and get some laughs at the same time
a note to all those wanting to get into pvp....just run iway or some simple build that needs no coordination wat so ever to win. and people will spam pvxwiki because most of the builds people repeatedly ask for are on there, and it is quite annoying to keep having people say in chat: "Will someone please help me with a build???" over and over because they are too lazy to type "/wiki" and click the link to pvxwiki. you may find a few people who are willing to help you, but they will not do all the work for you, you have to learn from experience and you won't get any unless you start thinking for youself.

This is the most ignorant post I have ever seen.
None of these suggestions even resemble WoW PvP wtf are you talking about, I think you just like throwing the word WoW around.

rofl. most of the OP's suggestions are already implemented in GW, you just have to press a few keys and click your mouse a few times, with the exception of the new map ideas. If they were larger it would be fun for scrimmages, but not in ladder/AT play. wasnt sure of if he ment it for just scrims or ladder as well
